boundary markers...

2014 May 8

For those of you that don't know the difference: A parapet wall is a wall that holds up a roof or structure of a building. A boundary wall is a non-structural wall that is set across two parcels of land to separate them. A parapet wall is owned by the land it sits on, a boundary wall is owned by both owners of both parcels of land. The site survey stake shows that the land next door is half a brick away from our parapet wall illustrating its our property & not a boundary [shared] wall. Whoever did this survey prior to the proposed plans being put to City of Vincent would know this, so should have the developers who signed a document saying its "their wall". The WA Police have never received a complaint from us about graffiti or street art on our building, it should never have been painted over without our say so. Don't be bullied by anyone, if its your wall & you want to paint it or leave what's on it there, or better still, invite a young artist to come paint it, you are totally within your rights to do so. we should still at least have some freedom in this city...this isn't over...
